Thank You Sandwich City…Professional Baker and Donating Lunch for our Volunteers!

If you’re traveling on Citrus Ave. in Covina, make sure to stop into Sandwich City.  It’s a quaint restaurant that will definitely meet your lunch or dinner needs!!  They also do catering for you party needs.  You have to love the quote on their website, “If our food doesn’t hit the spot, there could be something seriously wrong with your spot.”  You can find out more information about their shop at www.sandwichcity.net.  Although they’re a sandwich shop, Alan and his team, are bringing 300 cupcakes to Cupcake Camp SGV as a professional baker.  In addition Alan has generously offered to donate some of his delicious sandwiches as a lunch snack for our Cupcake Camp SGV volunteers.  We are so appreciative of his generosity!!  Stop by his shop and tell him that Cupcake Camp SGV sent you!!

Need Lunch? Check out The Dessert Shoppe

If you’re anywhere near San Dimas, stop into The Dessert Shoppe and check out their lunch menu!  The restaurant is nice, cool, and has a variety of things to eat that will meet everyone’s needs.  And did I mention…they have cupcakes!  Yesterday, while dropping off a Cupcake Camp SGV poster I took a quick glance in their display class and there were some tasty looking options for a quick afternoon treat!  They also had a big board with all sorts of specials…and who doesn’t love a good deal.  The Dessert Shoppe will be joining us at Cupcake Camp SGV and bringing some of their delicious cupcakes for our guests to try.  Thank you so much The Dessert Shoppe…we appreciate your generosity!!

Royalty Cakes will be blessing us with their attendance at Cupcake Camp SGV!!

Meeting Keisha’s Sweets

Today I was dropping off a Cupcake Camp SGV Poster at A & J Cake and Candy Supplies, and was waiting while Linda Hermann was helping a customer with some items.  Cupcake Camp SGV came up and the customer said that she was going to be at Cupcake Camp SGV and then asked if I was Jennifer.  Low and behold, the customer I was talking with was “the” Keisha of Keisha’s Sweet.  Located in La Verne, Keisha makes amazing cakes and cupcakes.  Judging from what she was buying today, we is working on some baseball cupcakes as well as a princess cake for this weekend.  To reach Keisha, you can check out her website at www.keishas-sweets.blogspot.com or on her Keisha’s Sweets facebook page.  Thank you so much Keisha for your kindess and generosity in donating cupcakes to Cupcake Camp SGV.

 

A Cupcake is a Work of Art?? They are at Sweet Art Cupcakes!

When you look at a Sweet Art Cupcakes you can immediately see the artistry that Linda Darck and her team put into their cupcakes.  We are so glad that Sweet Art Cupcakes has decided to join us at Cupcake Camp SGV.  Located in Pasadena, you can check out their work on facebook, twitter at @sweetartcupcake or at their website which is www.sweetartcupcakes.com.  You are able to pick up from their commercial kitchen or they’ll deliver (for a nominal fee).  Their motto is “so pretty you don’t want to eat them…so delicious you don’t want to stop”.  Below is a picture of some of their amazing work..

A & J Cake and Candy Supply Owner, Linda Hermann, to be a judge at Cupcake Camp SGV!

Linda Hermann, owner of A & J Cake and Candy Supply Store in Glendora, will be serving as one of our judges for Cupcake Camp SGV!  We are so excited as she brings years of experience as a baker as well as businesswoman in the baking industry to our event.  If you ever have a question or baking dilemma you can pop into her store and she always seems to have the perfect answer for your situation.  At A & J you can find just about everything you may need to make the perfect cake, cupcakes or candy.  They offer candymaking demos for FREE once to twice a month.  You can also sign up for cake decorating classes including buttercream classes, fondant classes, and specialty classes such as Topsy Turvy Cakes. 

If you are baking as an amateur baker for Cupcake Camp SGV you can stop in and purchase the PERFECT plastic cupcake holders which transport 24 cupcakes for about $3.  And while you’re there, you can pick up tickets to Cupcake Camp SGV!

SCOOOOOBY DOOOO….The Munchie Machine is coming to Cupcake Camp SGV

Joining the Border Grill food truck, we are proud to announce that The Munchie Machine will be selling their amazing food at Cupcake Camp SGV.  Their menu which includes such things as:  The Grilled Veggitini, Munchie Club, Croque de Munchie, PB2J (pb and j with banana) as well as salads and fries.  They’ve received awards for their amazing s’mores and Scooby Snacks.  To check out their whole menu go to http://www.themunchiemachine.com/menu.html.
