What is Cupcake Camp?
Cupcake Camp is a cupcake fundraising event for charity. Basically, we create an event where cupcakes get donated and you come to eat cupcakes for a donation.
Can I buy or sell cupcakes at the event?
No. Cupcake Camp is for people who want to bring cupcakes and share with others for a good cause.
Can I attend if I don’t bring cupcakes?
Yes! While bringing cupcakes is encouraged, we need people to eat cupcakes too.
Do we bake or decorate our cupcakes at the event?
No – your cupcakes should be ready to go at the event. However, feel free to organize your own baking get-togethers with friends before Cupcake Camp.
Where have other Cupcake Camps taken place?
People have organized Cupcake Camps all over the world, including San Francisco, Montreal, Seattle, New York, Dublin, and Sydney! And in Southern California there have been Cupcake Camps in Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire in the last year.
How much does it cost?
Although entrance to Cupcake Camp is free, the event is a fundraiser and the cost of tasting tickets is a $10 donation. This donation will provide you will access to three professional cupcakes and three amateur cupcakes. You will be provided with a box to store your cupcakes in. For an additional $10 donation you may purchase additional boxes/tickets for additional cupcakes (depending on the number of event tickets sold).
How do I sponsor the event?
Check out our sponsorship tab on this website for information on the various parts of the event that you can sponsor!
Want to donate cupcakes?
We’re asking you to donate minimum of 24-48 cupcakes (that’s only 1 cake box!) The more cupcakes we have, the more we have to share, the more money we can raise to donate. So please consider donating more!
Can’t bake but want to donate cupcakes?
You can buy cupcakes and donate them. Don’t know where to get some? We can refer some bakers to you.
Want to donate cupcakes with company branding/colors?
Let us know and we’ll refer some bakers!
What charity are you supporting?
The first charity that we are supporting is the YWCA WINGS Domestic Violence Program in Covina! This organization helps to provide shelter, food, and clothing to victims of domestic violence. Two more charities will be added within the upcoming days!
I’m bringing my cupcakes in a container that I’d like to get back. Is that possible?
No. Due to the number of participants in the event we will have to many containers to keep track of. Please bring your cupcakes in a disposable container or a container that you can live without. You can purchase plastic cupcake carriers at your local cake supply store.
What kind of cupcake baking contests will there be?
We will be having contests for professionals and a separate contest for amateurs. The three categories will be: 1) Best San Gabriel Valley Themed, 2)Most Unique Ingredient, and 3) Best of Show (meaning best presentation and taste). Keep in mind that these contests are for fun and meant to be in good spirit! Anyone can enter in the contest. We will have plaques for the winners of each of the contests!

If we are donateing cupcakes do we need to stay and man a table or do all of the cupcakes just get put on a table with everyone elses? AND have u reached ur goal of 3000 for the amature group yet?
Kathy,
If you are an amateur baker then you do not need to man a table. If you are professional baker we’d love for you to man your table and advertise your busines!!

can i just buy a ticket and come or do i have to bring cupcakes too?
You do not have to be a baker to come and eat the delicious cupcakes. For $10 you can purchase a tasting ticket which will give you 3 professional and 3 amateur cupcakes.
