Do you love baking cupcakes? We’d love to have you join us! We need bakers to make this charity event come true. So put on your apron, grab your favorite recipes and get baking!
We welcome professionals, amateur and even first-time bakers.
Deadline to submit: June 1, 2011 (registration information can be mailed or emailed to cupcakecampsgv@yahoo.com)
Minimum Full Size Cupcake donations: PROS: 150 for shared baker table or 300 for own table / AMATEURS: 4-6 dozen
Arrival Time: Professional bakers need to arrive at the event at 11:00 AM. Amateur bakers should arrive by noon.
Cupcake Contest: All professional and amateur bakers have the opportunity to show off their amazing cupcakes by entering our cupcake contest. We will have separate contests for professionals and amateurs. There are three categories which you can enter:
1) Most Unique Ingredient- based on creativity, taste, and texture
2) Most San Gabriel Inspired- capture the spirit of San Gabriel Valley in the flavor of the cupcake or through the design
3) Best of Show- based on overall best flavor, texture, and design
Cupcake flavor entered for contest does not need to be the same as the cupcakes for donation. Only one entry is allowed per baker per category. If entering the cupcake contest, baker must submit three cupcakes of each type for judging.
There will be room to store cupcakes under tables. All cupcakes must be completely decorated upon arrival. Each professional baker may bring assistants to help. All bakers should wear plastic gloves when handling cupcakes. Amateur cupcakes will be placed on a community amateur baker table. Amateurs need to bring their cupcakes in disposable containers as we cannot promise to return containers.
