Cupcake Camp welcomes all types of cupcake bakers – from professional to creative geniuses to enthusiastic first time bakers. Join us in a celebration of the sweet goodness of CUPCAKES. By sharing your gifts in the kitchen with the world, you’ll be helping raise money to support the victims of violence. Love and caring comes in many forms but the sweetest of all? … Cupcakes!
BAKER OVERVIEW
Please fill out baker registration form to pledge your support as a baker and to enter the cupcake competitions for Cupcake Camp SGV. We will be asking all amateur bakers to arrive with their cupcake donations on the day of the event by noon – 1 hour before public entry. This is so you have time to organize and decorate your assigned cupcake spot!

* if entering baking competition baker must submit 3 cupcakes for judging.
Categories:
PROFESSIONAL BAKERS
This category is for professional bakers, chefs, caterers, bakeries and those who sell their cupcakes commercially. We ask professional bakers who would like to participate to donate a minimum of 150 or 300 cupcakes – but we invite you to bring more! A donation of 300 cupcakes or more earns you recognition as a participant of Cupcake Camp and a full table to display your cupcakes and business materials. Donations of 150 cupcakes will provide you with a shared table for the event with another baker. All professional bakers who donate 150 cupcakes or more will be recognized on our website. Professional Bakers who donate 300 cupcakes or more will recieve a highlighted entry on the website and their logo will be placed on our Cupcake Camp banner at the event. Priority placement will be given for bakers with donations of 300 cupcakes or more!
PARTICIPANTS:
- Arrive 11:00 am and check in with our registration table.
- 6 ft table provided for your display in priority spot.
- Table cloth/skirt provided. You may feel free to have your own tablecloth for the event also.
- Cupcakes should be labeled (ie-Lemon Drop).
- Decorations, cupcake trees, trays, platters supplied by YOU.
- Extra Cupcakes must be stored in covered containers/box under table until needed.
- Professional baker responsible for replenishing cupcakes at own display.
- Professional baker to supply a minimum of 300 cupcakes – this can be either one flavor or a variety of flavors.
- Remember – the more cupcakes you provide the longer your cupcakes will be involved in the tasting!
Your cupcake donation also includes Cupcake Competition entry (if desired) in our professional bakers cupcake contest. You can enter in one or all of the following categories:
- Most San Gabriel Valley Themed
- Most Unique Ingredient
- Best of Show for Cupcake Camp SGV 2011
AMATEUR BAKERS
This category is for amateur cupcake geniuses and home bakers. If you’re the queen or king of the kitchen and like to share the bounty of your talents, this category is for you. We recommend amateur bakers bake a minimum of 4 to 6 dozen cupcakes but we welcome ambitious bakers who would like to contribute more!
PARTICIPANTS:
- Arrive 12:00 am and check in with our registration table.
- Our volunteers will take your cupcakes to a “holding” area.
- Cupcakes will be brought out in shifts throughout the event and placed on the amateur table.
- Feel free to make a small sign with your cupcakes including type of cupcake and your name if desired.
Your cupcake donation also includes Cupcake Competition entry (if desired) in our amateur baker cupcake contest. You can enter in one or all of the following categories:
- Most San Gabriel Valley Themed
- Most Unique Ingredient
- Best of Show for Cupcake Camp SGV 2011
KID BAKERS
This category is for cupcake kids ages 12 and under. If you’re the prince or princess of the kitchen and like to show off your decorating abilities, this category is for you. We recommend kid bakers bake a minimum of 2 dozen cupcakes but we welcome ambitious bakers who would like to contribute more!
